Broken TV "open box - Geek certified" (more like an USED condition)

I recently bought a 50" TV LG in a Open Box Condition Geek Squad Certified, it was a Present for my dad, and when we finally gave it to him and open it, it has the screen bloken, and all the stickers that suppose to be on the TV was used and put them again on the TV.

It was more an USED TV than a "Open Box" TV.

 

The worse is the condition of 15 days return, if it was a present and (we didnt know about this by the way) we all save money to this for my dad, even bought an Open Box condition to save money.

 

Now we dont have any garantee on the TV, just for the time.

 

we all lost our money, no garantee, no response... I Cannot believe This is a Best Buy Product (purchase).

Geek squad... Certified... 

I know it was just Open.

I know it came in this condition

I know it is a Best Buy Product

I know it came like this

I still cannot believe this.

 

What a shame... customer service .... Geek squad... Best Buy... all wrong!

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I apologize for my late response. We’ve been unusually busy recently, and it is taking longer than we’d like to get back to everyone.

 

Our Geek Squad Certified open box item go through a rigorous inspection process, so before the television was boxed up it should have been in perfect working order. I understand your disappointment with your television being damaged. Under our Return & Exchange Promise, we do offer a 15 day return period on most purchases, though we are unable to take back any product that is damaged. It sounds like the television is cracked, and outside of the 15 day window we offer for returns, so I don’t believe we’ll be able to process a return on it.

 

I’d like to take a look into the order to see if you may have qualified for an extended return period as an Elite or Elite Plus My Best Buy member, and to get some additional details on the damage to the television. I’d appreciate it if you could include your name, email address, phone number, and a description of the damage to the television.
