Bought an open box s10+, after two months got blacklisted

Bought an open box phone from Best Buy. A couple months later, it is blacklisted because when whoever bought the phone originally through best buy returned it, best buy failed to have it removed off of the att account they had it on when they took it back as a return. I go up to best buy and get told by a very smug "manager" that they cant help. That it isn't their problem. I paid $1,000 for a phone I can no longer use because they failed to do their job and he says it isn't their problem. My carrier is Cricket, he tells me I need to go through them. The problem is, I didnt buy it from cricket and I didnt have an account with ATT, so how is this not Best Buys issue. He gives me a number to call that is absolutely NO help at all. But, I was told there was nobody else to call. Again, I now have a $1,000 phone that I cant use because they failed to do their job, but not their problem. I would not recommend ANYONE to purchase a phone from this company. Awful customer service.
