I struggle to think of any reason they refused service to my dad. No matter how you look at it there are two people there. If a store has a limit 1 per customer, you and your wife goes there dont you expect to buy 2? one per customer? Have you ever been told no, you guys can only get one since you came in together? No matter how you look at it there are two people there. Unless best buy count us as 1/2 of a person then there is only 1 person there. But even slaves was counted as 3/5 of a person in the 1700s. Im done ranting. You do your thing and let me know whats going on.

I can see why you dont want this to be public. I believe i figured out what happened.
You should get your legal involved. I believe a chain of your stores knowingly break Bestbuy offer buy inforcing a strict 1 per person through unwritten secret policy. Which is as illegal as it can be. Probably due to denial by legal or corporate office. Tactics refined from unable to produce policy in writing (hand written note implying im a fraud) to a less evidence approach which is strict denial of service (no note as evidence).
I will escalate this to the proper authority. Im not seeking any gains, but we have laws to protect consumers against these type of fraudulant and predatory advertising. I just didnt believe bestbuy would employ such tactics or allow such tactics knowingly enforced by its stores. I hope im wrong but im sure if they take it up it will all be clear after discovery. Nothing is unwritten, there are always notes from these meetings.

And if you do nothing, close out this ticket and delete this thread...you are also stamping your approval on their scheme. I beleieve these are actions of a bad chains and the people at bestbuy are good moral people and will take actions on their own to protect their family, friends and community.

1 dollar beer Tuesday, limit 5 per customer. You came with your friends and when the bill comes its 1 beer for one dollar and the rest is $10.99 each.
Its our policy that only one beer per day and since you came in a group yall counts as 1 customer. Where does it say that? No where, its our unwritten store policy. Youre now stuck with a massive bill.
You see how thats illegal? And fraudulant advertising? One night and the bar is burned.

Were these phones thru a specific carrier or unlocked no carrier phones? The quantity limits are often set by the carriers. If the household is all on the same account with the carrier, best buy can't override the limit.

If there any legitimate reasons such as a carrier limit or anything in writing, there wouldnt be that hand written note. They could simply point to it.
