Bestbuy has bad customer service

I recently bought the new Skywalker saga box set off of bestbuy website. I just got it yesterday and guess what I open it and it was ripped on the first page. I contacted customer service to see what I can do and they tell me I can exchange it for a new on at a bestbuy store near by. So I go and the guy that help me at the store first of all was rude then he said we couldn't exchange it because we opened it and it has digital copies on it. But how am I supposed to know if the first page is ripped or not by opening it. I wasted almost 300 dollars for a product literally broken and can't even get it exchanged because of the dital copies. Waste of money never buying from bestbuy again. Especially with the customer support they have it's horrible.
