Re: Best Buy prides itself of Customer service

Andrew-BBY works at the corporate office and should be considered the official answer/decision.  Since you are well outside of the Return/Exchange period, the next course of action would be to utilize the manufacturer's warranty.  Many manufacturers allow our Geek Squad to perform this work, eliminating the need to find where to ship the computer.  If you are unable to part with your computer for the repair due to school, nckhammond had an excellent interim solution with an external disc drive.

I am a Best Buy Employee, but the views that I post are my own and not that of Best Buy.

Re: Best Buy prides itself of Customer service

This goes to show that Best buy will not help the customer. Plus no matter if it's outside the 15 days you can take returns. I will take to the CEOs Twitter account. It appears that Best Buy is just like Walmart at customer service. It all about them and not the customer. Also store employees can talk to customers how ever they want. Local news stations will be told also. This is how big box chain stores operate. A simple return and all would be over. No one at Best Buy knows what real customer service is. Trust I know you can make the exchange but you will not.

Re: Best Buy prides itself of Customer service

Hello again, rob2282,

While we would not be able to replace or exchange that computer, we may be able to offer a repair on it if the DVD drive isn’t working correctly.

Please reach out to me through a private message by using the link in my signature below this post. I’ll need your name, email address, phone number, and the customer service PIN from the bottom of your receipt.

Sincerely,

Kyle R|Social Media Specialist | Best Buy® Corporate

They have offered to fix it for free under warranty 3 times now in this thread. Definitely horrible service.....

Re: Best Buy prides itself of Customer service

Also what is Best Buy going to do about how I was treated in the store in front of my kids? That was uncalled for and I don't know how a manager could still have a job for how I was treated.

Re: Best Buy prides itself of Customer service

You would take the computer to the Geek Squad and they would be the ones to send it off for manufacturer's repair.
I am not a forum moderator nor voice of corporate. One of the corporate moderators will be with you as soon as they can for the official response from Best Buy. The forums work on a first come, first serve basis and it can take a while for a response.

Re: Best Buy prides itself of Customer service

Hi, rob2282,

You can set up a reservation to visit Geek Squad here. We’ll check the computer out and verify that it qualifies to be sent out for repair.

As for your poor experience in the store, please feel free to send me a private message through the link in my signature. If you can provide your name, email address, phone number, and the date of your visit to the store, I’d be happy to document your concerns in our corporate systems.

Sincerely,
