I purchased an Insignia 10 qt air fryer on 3/27/2021 for $64.19.
On 4/25/2022, after receiving word that they were recalled I registered for a return to Best Buy. I sent the air fryer back on 5//16/2022 via UPS with all the parts and the invoice for $64.19. Their information on the recall states I would be refunded "the amount of the purchase receipt if higher".
On July 1, 2022 I received a Best Buy e-Gift Card for $50. First, I would have preferred a cash return because I seldom shop at Best Buy, and second I did NOT receive the amount I spent on the purchase.
On June 2, 2022 I called the special number to inform Best Buy I was owed $14.19 more than was sent me. I was told someone would get back to me.
On July 14, 2022, after no one called me back, I called the special number again and spoke to Toni. She said she would have my issue escalated and someone would then call me.
It is now September 1, 2022 and I still have NOT received a call-back, nor have I received the additional $14.19 I am owed. It doesn't look like I will from experience.
DO NOT BUY from Best Buy, just in case you have to return something or if your purchase is recalled. They will cheat you out of what is owed you. I plan on forwarding this on to the BBB.
