Recently after opening Best Buy Credit Card I purchased a laptop (~$3K). Right after statement date, I paid off the amount. Three days after payment, when I tried to buy another laptop, the availbale credit is still sitting at what it was prior to statement issue. It's been now six days after payment has cleared from my bank - that is, the amount is already debited from my bank account - the available credit is still unchanged. Citi says it takes 9 days or so for validation process.
What I don't understand is - validation for what? You already got my money. None of my other credit card banks takes more than 24 hours after payment is cleared from my bank to make credit available again. Amex typically makes that available immidately (even before it clears from bank). My Amazon Credit Card from Chase gives me no such problem - allowing me to keep shopping from Amazon.
Best Buy: I love you, but your credit card issuer's processes are unresonable. If you care for your card holders to shop, you need to do something about it.

Welcome to our Support Forums, and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We love you too, PowerDesigner, and the last thing we want to hear is you’ve been having a difficult time utilizing your My Best Buy® Credit Card to score yourself a new laptop.
While we’ll be unable to modify Citibank’s internal processes, or expedite their validation process, we’re consistently looking for ways to provide a better experience for our customers. We take feedback like this very seriously here at Best Buy, and I truly appreciate you calling our attention to your experience. Going forward, I’ll be fully documenting your insights here at our Best Buy Corporate Headquarters, to ensure your comments are visible to the appropriate parties.
