1. How often can I check in to earn points?
This feature is no longer supported within the app
2. When will my check-in points show up?
It may take up to 2 weeks for the points to show up in your My Best Buy Account.
3. Why isn’t the check-in feature working?
With the most recent update of the app, this feature is no longer being supported.
1. What devices is the app available for?
Currently the app is available for iPhone, Android, and Windows phones through the App store, Google Play, or Windows Phone Store. It is also available for Touch PCs through the Windows Phone Store. An iPad app will also be coming soon, but may have different features than the current mobile versions.
2. Can I become a My Best Buy member within the app?
Confirm you are using the correct password. If it still doesn’t work, uninstall and reinstall the app on your phone. Finally, sometimes the services that the app uses have trouble and will not allow some users to access their accounts. We are working to fix those issues.
4. I am experiencing errors or connection issues in the app, how can I fix this?
5. Can I issue certificates from my points in the app?
With the current release as of 4/23/14, yes you can issue certificates using your banked points if you are Elite or Elite Plus, or if you are a core member and want a certificate before you reach your automatic threshold.
6. Can I use the app to show my My Best Buy card or Rewards Certificates at the register?
You can show the QR code within the app to the cashier to add your purchase to your My Best Buy account, or redeem a Rewards Certificate without printing it out.
This FAQ will be expanded as additional facts become available and is subject to change.

To get the check in option, you would need to be physically at one of our Best Buy store locations, and open the app. At the bottom of the screen you should see the in-store features popup and from there just follow the prompts on your screen.

Hi there maverick-
From what I’ve been told, this feature is still in place. Generally if you follow the troubleshooting steps from FAQ #4 above under App Usage, it should hopefully help you out. From what I understand, there are instances where you may receive an error message, but the points will still post, up to twice a week, per the FAQ.

I've updated to latest iOS (which ended up doing a full restore of my phone) and reinstalled the iOS app, but still have not been able to do any type of store check-in. This has been for the past 2 months. Any update as to when this will be resolved?

With the changes around integrating My Best Buy with BestBuy.com, the store check-in process is no longer supported.

There seems to be a bug issue in the Best Buy App cuz I was signed in and just recently went to go open up the app and it shows I'm not signed in so I go to sign back in and it's not logging me in, fix the issue please.
