BEST BUY stole $700 worth of gift cards !!!! HELP!!!

 

  • I had 4 gift cards totaling $800 (1 $500 and 3 $100)
  • gift cards were never used and generated on saturday 
  • tried to use to purchase a washer and dryer.  gift cards would apply off the total but it wouldnt let us check out saying the giftcards were invalid
  • at this point when you checked the balance of the giftcards they all had their full balance
  • we tried like 4 more times and even had the rep help us and it still didnt work (at this point spent over 2 hours trying to complete this transaction)
  • asked rep to send us a new invoice and invalidate the old transaction
  • new invoice didnt fix the problem
  • now when we check the balance; 3 of the giftcards have zero balance  and only one has $100
  • called customer service, waited on hold for an hour, they said to call back in the morning
  • called back in the morning, waited on hold for half an hour, and rep confirmed that the system didnt refund the giftcards like it was supposed to and that she would escalate and we would have the balance back asap
  • its now over 24 hours later and no refund to gift card or contact with resolution
  • we have now LOST the opportunity to buy the washer dryer at the discounted price and have wasted hours trying to get this resolved and have had SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS STOLEN!!!!! thats a lot of money! I'm so upset!!!

super dissappointed at this horrible experience with best buy.
