About returned phones

Hi All,

Recently I bought a phone from BestBuy and used it for 2-3 days. After I returned it, I forget to delete some of my personal data. I wonder will this phone reset before stoking?  I'm worried about my data.

Re: About returned phones

It is the general practice when a phone is returned to reset it to factory settings as part of the refurbishment process. The process should remove all of your personal data.

Re: About returned phones

Hello mark1980,

Our friend bobberuchi hit the nail right on the head. In many instances the store will reset all devices prior to shipping them out. Should the store not do this, the warehouse will factory reset all devices and refurbish them accordingly. For some devices, the option to remotely wipe the phone is an option. This will depend on the version of the mobile OS, the device, and if it's on and connected to WiFi.
