15 day return window is too short

I'd like to make a general complaint about Best Buy's extremely short 15 day return window, and I hope Best Buy will consider changing the window to be more in line with industry standard. Best Buy's competitors (Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes) all have 90 day return windows. I assumed Best Buy was the same and was shocked when I was denied a return, or even an exchange, on a speaker one month after purchase. Shame on Best Buy for this unfriendly policy.

We try to make everyone aware of the return policy by printing it on your receipt, as well as posting it online and at every checkout location in the store.  The entire electronics industry is shifting towards a shorter return periods, including Wal-Mart which you used as an example above.  Like Best Buy, Walmart offers 15 days on most electronics.  

 

IMHO, 15 days is the perfect amount of time.  It provides plenty of time to make sure that the item works out of the box and that it will work for your use case while at the same time reducing the "renters" from taking an item out on vacation then returning it when they come home.  The moderators here can record your feedback on the return policy at a corporate level.
