I'm about to walk 2.5 miles through snow to a bestbuy, so I want to confirm that this service will work how I expect. I plan to buy a quest 2 VR headset using the 12 month financing. Last time I was there, they said all I needed was my credit card and an ID. So, if I bring my credit card and ID, I will be able to set up the 12 month financing for the headset, right? I attempted to do this through the website and for some reason it wanted me to set up an entirely new credit card from a different company, rather than letting me use my own.

Welcome to our community, godlyvex5.
It might be a little to early for walking in a winter wonderland in my opinion, but there you go. You ask a terrific question!
If you were hoping to get 12 month financing via the promotion link provided via the product information page, it appears that it is for new accounts only. This is likely why you were prompted to apply for a new credit card. You can find more information by reviewing the offer terms and conditions.
