Q: How long does it take for points to post to my account?
A: It can generally take up to 20 days for points from an eligible Best Buy purchase (35 days for Magnolia) to post to a member’s account. Those time frames would start after a purchase has been picked up or delivered.
Q: Would I qualify if I chose a promotional financing offer?
A: No. We do not award points with the use of promotional financing. You would need to choose standard financing.
Q: Can I pre-order an item and qualify for 10% back?
A: Only if the pre-order is fulfilled within 14 days of being approved for a new My Best Buy™ credit card and no other purchases are made.
Q: Why is only 5% back in points pending in my account?
A: It is common for bonus points to not appear as pending with base points and simply post after a full 20 days (35 days for Magnolia).
Q: Will I qualify for 10% back if I process a return or exchange?
A: Our system may not recognize the very first purchase as such if any sort of modification is processed after the fact. That would include a return, exchange, or price match.
