I love the Bestbuy steelbooks, normally i get the $24.99 verson with the BD/DVD/digital.

Ive started to notice that with the upcoming films such as Wonder woman and Spiderman, i cant find steelbooks like these, only the $34.99 versions which have the Ultra 4K/BD/digital. Are these going to be the new standard as i dont plan on looking into 4K anytime soon (most likely years from now or until the next lastes/greatest thing arrives)

I understamd that no one really uses DVD versions now but i dont see myself spending an extra $10 odd for 4K that i wont use

Re: Steelbooks

Hello Britjamcoolie,

I'm glad to hear you've been buying your movies at Best Buy. I'm a fan of steelbooks too, and I can certainly understand your interest in getting all the new releases with the special packaging. I am still seeing some pre-orders that have steelbooks for both standard Blu-Ray and 4K, but you are correct that some may only make them available for the 4K combo packs. And some may not include a steelbook offer for any format.

Best Buy is generally not in control over what format receives a steelbook, but I am happy to confirm we will continue to carry them when available. Please watch for all the updates.
