Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 4K Steelbook... any information?

So currently there is a Blu-Ray steelbook available online but no 4k version and on Best Buy Canada there is a Blu-Ray and 4K version for the Steelbook of this movie can we assume that we will see the 4k version on US sites soon?

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 4K Steelbook... any information?

It makes zero sense that one of the biggest movies of the year, and one of the most beautiful, would not have a steelbook 4K release. I'm super frustrated about this, because I love adding to my steelbook collection.

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 4K Steelbook... any information?

I’m sorry but surely we can get some sort of information... I mean your Canadian branch has a 4K Steelbook for sale... I mean is there not some sort of merchandiser or people who handled 4K movies and the like that you’re able to email or have some sort of communication with to find an answer? I mean I’m sorry can you give a bit of effort into finding out an answer for us? It’s not like the item isn’t being made, it’s just not being made available to the United States and some of us would like a reason...

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 4K Steelbook... any information?

I keep checking every day to see if/when the 4K SteelBook is listed for sale...I absolutely refuse to purchase this item unless it is 4K. I see other options on the internet including Region Free 4K SteelBooks, but pricey...still rather pay more than purchase  a regular SteelBook for this movie...it was too awesome. Correct this Best Buy!

I came here about the same thing. They just want to double and triple dip no doubt. Stupid decision for a movie that would look so good in 4K.

That being said, we can't even get a regular Blu-ray release of A Bronx Tale, The Abyss, or True Lies.

Spiderman Into the Spiderverse Steelbook question

Hi, quick question about the steelbook for Spiderman Into the Spiderverse. On the website it states that it is only DVD and Blu Ray. Will there be a 4K version of the movie with it or a seperate 4K steelbook?

It doesn’t look like they’re going to do it. Which totally sucks because Best Buy Canada has a 4K steelbook.

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 4K Steelbook... any information?

The Canadian Best Buy 4K is Region Free I believe so can be played on US BLu-Ray players, but even though I spend a lot of money at Best Buy I hate to give them my dollars on this purchase. It must be a licensing issue or some weird internal reason they don't release the 4K Steelbook in the US but at least share the reason. Their responses here are so boilerplate. I'll buy the Zavi 4K Steelbook probably on eBay. Also guessing Best Buy, actually Sony, will release a 4K Steelbook later just to get people to buy it twice...horrible business practices. I don't need every movie in 4K but this one was stunning looking

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 4K Steelbook... any information?

This answer seems one small step above automated. NO info really given at all...how about actually addressing the fact that it is being sold in Canada and NOT in the US...why is that? Do some research and then answer the question
