Let me start by telling you that I'm a little sad because I missed a recent Grace Potter and the Nocturnals concert at First Avenue last month. However I cannot be too disappointed because I have been fortunate to have been at three of their concerts here in Minnesota! I've seen them at the Varsity Theater, Minnesota Zoo and the Mayo Civic Center Presentation Hall here close to home.
You may ask who is Grace Potter and the Nocturnals? Well, they are an American rock band from Vermont. They cover rock subgenres ranging in blues, folk, hard and alternative. The band began their career as an indie band in 2002 and in recent years have been very successful in topping iTunes charts and receiving international attention.
One important thing to mention though is that the band’s main attraction is largely due to the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Grace Potter. She is well known not only for her stunning look, but for her vocal qualities and for her vibrant energy on stage. That said, I encourage you to listen to at least a couple of my favorite songs by Grace Potter and the Noctorunals: "Paris (Ooh La La)" and "Apologies". Here is a link for the CDs we carry for the band: http://bit.ly/11v4K44. Cheers!
P.S. I hope you like the picture I took with my mobile phone!
