Welcome to the forum!  Midnight releases are always fun events to take part in, and we appreciate the enthusiasm about the upcoming release of Resident Evil 2.  It doesn’t look like we’ve scheduled any early release events for this title, but you’re always welcoming to keep an eye on our Gaming Events page to be in-the-know on what events you can participate in moving forward.

When is the earliest I can pick up my copy of RE2? Can I pick it up before closing on Thursday night, or do I have to wait until Friday morning?

Ah, and one other quick question: is the Steelbook case only with the Deluxe Edition, or is it for the Standard one as well?

Hello kholik,

You ask some great questions.  The earliest you could pick up your copy of Resident Evil 2 is on the scheduled release date of January 25, 2019.  We do not have any early release events scheduled at this time.  As regards the SteelBook, it appears both the standard and deluxe editions should come with this case, seeing as it shows up as a free item in your cart when you add the game to your pre-order cart on BestBuy.com.

         I too would like to know if you "Best Buy" are going to to a midnight sale for Resident Evil 2? If not, ya'll need to get your priorites straightend out, and I'd like to know why you would do a midnight sale for a PS2 PORT of Onimusha, not a remake, not even a hd polish, but wont for one of the biggest, hugely anticipated remakes of our time!!
