The Infinity War Begins!

Almost exactly 10 years ago Tony Stark made his first suit in a cave with a box of scraps, eventually leading to the beginning the Avengers Initiative and the now sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While Marvel’s phase plan sounded ambitious at first, it has grown in to 18 different movies and dozens of characters coming together into an ultimate final battle, the Infinity War.

Based loosely off the classic 1991 Marvel comic event Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos has left his spot from the shadows and started a quest that will likely end in death and despair for the earth and its mightiest heroes. The powerful Infinity Stones have long been teased in previous movies and include Loki’s scepter, The Vision’s forehead and Dr. Strange’s Eye of Agamatto to name a few. Once all six are gathered together, the wielder has unlimited power and can do anything, including destruction on an untold scale with just the snap of the fingers.

Not only does the long-awaited Infinity War feature now classic series heroes like Iron Man and Captain America, characters we once only hoped to see like Star Lord, Dr. Strange and even Spider-Man have crossed over to the MCU. It's going to take every heavy hitter the Earth has to stand against Thanos finally appearing after his first appearance at the end of Avengers.

We've seen the Avengers fight some powerful foes and even each other but none have been close to the power Thanos holds, certainly no one we’ve seen in the MCU yet. Whatever twists and turns Infinity War has, you'd be fooling yourself to not expect a dramatic cliff hanger until Infinity War Part 2, scheduled to be released May 3, 2019. In the meantime, we have Ant-Man and The Wasp releasing Jul 6, 2018 to tide us over.

Infinity War is out in theaters right now so be sure to get to your local theater as quick as you can to avoid any spoilers!

Can't wait to watch Infinity War at home? Don't wait to pre-order your copy of the collectible Steelbook in 4K or a copy of the Blu-ray version so you can watch it the day it's released. If you've seen the movie let us know what you thought! Did it live up to your expectations?
