With all the super hero blockbusters coming out these days, I think it’s safe to say that the love of comic books has gone mainstream. While it may not be the actual comics that people are celebrating, their influence on our culture is hard to ignore. It has gotten to the point where people who have never even read a comic book are celebrating the newest releases. Well its only days away from the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron- so why don’t you celebrate Comic Book Day with a preorder at Best Buy!

For those who may not know (there’s probably very few out there that fit this description) The Avengers: Age of Ultron is the second Avengers film set in the Marvel universe. The movie follows Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow as they fight against Ultron- a powerful A.I. convinced that destroying humanity will save the world. The group finds themselves in their greatest peril yet as they must contend with two new powerful adversaries who have allied themselves with Ultron while working to keep their fragile alliance together.

In my opinion, this edition of the franchise does not quite meet the joy and excitement I felt for the first Avengers movie, but I think that might have to do with the fact that it was the very first time I saw all the characters together on screen. Upon additional viewings, Avengers: Age of Ultron holds up as one of the better Marvel movies in the collection.
