Google Pixel

…now if that’s not the definition of an awesome smartphone, I don’t know what is.

This is the first time a phone has had Google Assistant available on it right out of the box. Like any good personal assistant, this one can help answer your everyday questions, manage your honey-do-list, keep you on schedule with that meeting you simply can’t reschedule again, or maybe just serve you up some entertainment when you want to kick back and relax. Your new assistant can even be part of your Google Allo smart messaging conversation with your friends when you’re trying to decide on where to grab a bite. Who doesn’t love having their own personal assistant?

As a photographer, a quality camera on my phone is a must-have to make sure I can capture “the shot” even when I don’t have my DSLR strapped around my neck. Not to mention, when I hear Pixel my brain goes straight to “megapixel”; this phone certainly doesn’t lack megapixels with 12.3 MP ready to provide you with a super clear image to share on social media or even have printed to hang on your wall. Pixel Lens Blur, Pixel Panorama, Pixel Photosphere, Pixel Smartburst and Pixel HDR+ help you get the shot you want or need with ease, even in those tricky low light situations.

Did I mention the Google Pixel lets you call people too? I suppose that would be important to highlight seeing as I’m talking about a smartphone. When the standard voice call just isn’t good enough, you can even use the Google Duo app (available on Android and iOS devices) to get face-to-face conversation with your family and friends using the impressive 8 MP front facing camera. Then, when you’ve exhausted your battery getting the in-laws up to date on everything you’ve been doing since last Thanksgiving, you can get back 7hrs of battery life in a measly 15 minutes.

These are just some of the things that make this such a great tool in your pocket. This phone delivers some big features to match some big competition, and I’m not even talking about the Pixel XL yet. You can see some of the differences below:
