wi fi camara says connected but on app it says I'm not the owner


I Had Disconected My Wi Fi Camara a While Back... I Pluged It In Today And It Connects But Wont Allow Me To Add It...  Saying It connected To Another Acount... But I'm The Original Owner... How Can I Fix The Problem? Model # NS-CH1IPC8.. SERIAL#{removed per forums Terms of Use}.

Welcome to the Insignia Forum Community! Thanks for posting to our community to share your issue with your Insignia Connect Camera. I’m sorry to hear upon plugging it your Connect App is having difficulties connecting to it.


Insignia Connect Cameras can only be connected to one account. Are you by chance trying to setup the camera on a new account different than the one you originally registered it with? Have you tried the following troubleshooting steps?


1- Reset the camera by pressing the reset button located on the back below the SD card slot. To reset it, the blue light on the camera needs to be flashing and when reset is accomplished, the camera will say "Reset Successful"

2- Log out of the Best Buy account, and log back in. Please ensure you’re logged out the account on all the devices you use to control your Insignia Connect Smart items.

3- Uninstall and Re-install the Insignia CONNECT application.

4- Try creating a new location inside the app.

5- Make sure that the router is configured at a 2.4 GHz band or has the capability of dual bandwidth.

6- Ensure there is a strong Wi-Fi signal where the Wi-Fi camera is being setup.

7- Is your router security setting is set on WPA-PSK? If not please set it to this, and see if that allows you to review the live stream.
