Unable to add devices because of homekit

I have 4 switches installed in my home through my android phone. I setup the app on my wife's iPhone and now when I try to add a new switch on my android I get a message stating that because this home has data associated with homekit, only the OS device user can add new switches. How do I disassociate my account from homekit? I've already had her sign out and remove the only switch we could see from her home app.

Welcome to our community. Oftentimes you can wipe any troublesome data by performing a factory reset on the device itself, or resetting your Homekit settings altogether. Have you tried either of these steps yet?
