Garage door opener and app support ending

When I start up the Insignia Connect app, I get a notice indicating that the app and accessories will no longer be available as of November 6. Calling the indicated number, I’m told that the garage door opener will still be supported, but nobody can tell me what this means as far as the app is concerned. Will there be a replacement app? Will the Connect app be updated and continue to support the garage door opener? What’s going on?

I've never really used the Insignia Connect app with the garage door opener. It works fine on its own through HomeKit.
