Unable to connect Insignia Fire TV to Denon receiver

I’ve connected the hdmi cable to the HDMI (Arc) port and I’ve connected it to my receiver and I still don’t have sound? Any ideas?

Sdquarto,

Thank you for sharing the requested information.

If you've connected your HDMI cable to the HDMI/ARC ports on both the TV and the receiver without result, I recommend reviewing the TV's audio settings. Select Settings, then select Display & Sounds. Select Audio Output, then select Digital Audio Format and change the setting to PCM or Dolby Digital. You can find more information in the TV User Guide.

If the problem persists, I would recommend contacting Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 for assistance troubleshooting your home theater setup in real time.

I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us.

Re: Unable to connect Insignia Fire TV to Denon receiver

I’ve already done all that you suggested and still nothing. I’ve even tried to set it up through an optical cable and that didn’t work either. It worked fine on my Samsung that way, but not on this TV. Darndest thing…..I’ve never had to reach out to the Geek squad, but it looks like I will have to this time. Thanks for trying to help me though, it’s appreciated.
