Picked up a new sound bar from insignia and was quite excited, but the audio is a split second off. Not sure what is causing this. I have it hooked up via optical cable. When I turn the audio on my TV up, you can hear the slight delay.
Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas how to fix it?
Love the sound quality, but the syncing issue is a problem.

Hi again, mtsolty,
Welcome back to the forums. I'm sorry that new sound bar is a bit off. That can be very distracting.
Your television likely supports both PCM and Dolby sound outputs. Try swapping that setting on the television. If the TV has any audio presets, you'll also want to reset that to factory settings.
If that doesn't help, please get back to me with your TV's model. That will help trying to troubleshoot further.

So we are nearly 3 months in now and issues persist. Life got a bit busy and wasn't able to address this further before. I have swapped between digital audio out and another setting on my LG. It seems to work better at times than others. Not sure if the difference happens between using my apple tv or my tivo box. Seems like sometimes when I cycle through things it "magically" corrects for a little while.
I've been using a digital optical cable. We are getting a little beyond my knowledge when talking about PCM and Dolby sound outputs.
Also, I recently purchased a newer Sony tv and am having the same issues that I had with the LG.
The insignia sound bar was a great price for an entry level soundbar, but drives me crazy when there is lag between the sound and their lip movements. Is this a known issue? I think It's too late to return this and the conditions aren't right for a return right now anyway- so would love any suggestions on how to "fix" it.

Welcome back, mtsolty,
Thanks for following up with us. I'm sorry to hear that your sound bar is still having these issues.
The PCM and Dolby options should be in your television's sound output settings. Flipping that to the other option will often help in situations like this. Your TV's manual should show you how to do this.
If that doesn't work, please give Insignia support a call at (877) 467-4289 to see what other options there are for you.
