Hi all,
I just recently purchased the NS-CSPGASP-B and when I try to set it up using the Google Home app on my Android phone, when I directly connect to its wifi network ("Insignia NS-CSPGASPxxxx), the application hangs on "Connecting to Insignia NS-CSPGASP..." and then eventually errors out with "Could not connect to your Insignia NS-CSPGASP, make sure your Insignia NS-CSPGASP is nearby while it shows SET on its display.
I tried to connect to it in my garage away from all my wireles devices and I tried resetting the device, neither did anything. In all those cases I am right next to the device.
What else can I try?

I tried a different phone (I was trying with my Pixel 2XL running the P beta) and it worked....so I guess the P beta has issues with pairing....

Hello bakedpatato,
Our advanced support team was able to confirm that they were able to pair a Pixel 2XL without an issue to the Insignia Voice Speaker. They recommended to double check that your Pixel 2 XL has Bluetooth enabled, and then set the speaker into pairing mode, you can do this by pressing the – and + buttons at the same time for four seconds until the display shows BT. Go ahead select the Insignia Voice Speaker from the menu of enabled devices.
If you’re still having an issue pairing it to your Pixel 2 XL our support team recommended trying the following troubleshooting steps:
· Shorten the distance between your speaker and your Bluetooth device
· Turn your devices off, then on. Re-pair your speaker and your Bluetooth device.
· Make sure that your speaker is not paired to another Bluetooth device
· Make sure that your speaker and Bluetooth device are both in pairing mode.
· Make sure that your Bluetooth device supports Bluetooth v4.0 and below.
· Make sure that your Bluetooth device is not connected to any other device
· Make sure that you have selected NS-CSPGASP or the device name you entered during Google Home App setup
Please let us know if you’re still having trouble getting it paired together with your Google Pixel 2 XL.
Thanks,
Mariah

I had the exact issue using my Pixel 2XL. I was able to connect it by stsrtex over - - I reset the speaker through Google Home, unplugged the speaker, powered off my phone, plugged in the speaker, turned my phone back on, and added the device as instructed. Voila! This time it connected with no problem.

I do have an alternate device that will work for the setup. I just wanted to point out that both my Pixel 2XL and one of my neighbors Pixel 2XL device both fail when attempting to set up this device so i'm guessing there's something going on between the Pixel devices and the Insignia NS-CSPGASP-B. The Pixel phones are unable to complete the setup process and the error message is listed in the 1st post.
