Sorry, I havent used in a little while, Ive been busy. It looks like the update was pushed out on the 10th.
The biggest problem with the bluray format is is the device manufacturers. They all want to sell new players so they drop all of their current models and force everyone to buy new ones. I had a Sumsung player that went sour after an update 8 month ago, and there hasn't been another update since, and that was a $400 player last January. The format will never catch on if they keep this up.
I finally gave up on the Samsung and bought the NS-BRDVD3 for $100 as a netflix streamer that might actually play some bluray discs. This time I got the $30 4 year BestBuy replacement warranty, just in case this one craps out on me.

I currently have the same problem with the NS-BRDVD. I purchased about 6 to 8 months ago. I bought Babylon AD about a month ago and i came across the problem it would load up after i clicked "play" and it would end me back up at the main menu. And then recently I bought the new Night of the museum movie. and it wouldn't even make it to the main menu it would just go through the FBI warning. and show the disc rotate at the bottom center of the screen for about 5 minutes.
My question is Insignia, If im going to BUY a 200 dollar blu-ray player and help pay one of yalls im sure nice looking paychecks. And then yall are going to discontinue the product. Why then would Insignia decide to stop producing firmware for that product? I would like to think Insignia would help us keep our "out-of-date" blu-ray players running and their customers HAPPY.. Im at this moment completely 180 of that feeling "Happy" with Insignia, and believe me when i tell you IF Insignia decided NOT to create anymore firmware for this product then i will be happy to buy from a different company. Because this is unacceptable. How the Blu-Ray industry will stay afloat is beyond me at this troubling time. Thank you.
