Any update on this John? I'm also very interrested in knowing how features are pushed out to these devices. A store associate told me it would recieve updates from Google, so I'd be a bit dissapointed if Insignia was in fact responsible for all updates unless they were commited to keeping up.

Thank you so much for your patience while you had waited for our response. My sincere apologizes for our delayed response. Updates to the Insignia Voice Speaker are rolled out periodically by Insignia, and not Google. I’m sorry if you were advised differently.
If an update is available your Insignia Voice Speaker should automatically update. Our support teams are working hard to get one rolled out soon. At this time we don’t have a specific date available to share, but we’d be happy to post back once an update has been pushed out.
