Insignia Voice™ Speaker (4 blinking lights)

Hi there,

My speaker was set up and was working fine, until suddenly, it hung and I had to turn off and on the power supply.

After which, it is now stuck with nothing on the display except the top 4 lights (Google Assistant/Microphone state) blinking/flashing.

I had tried to hold the back (Microphone On/Off) button for more than 12 seconds in hopes to hard reset it but nothing happens.

Any way I can solve this?

Thanks,

Chester

Re: Insignia Voice™ Speaker (4 blinking lights)

Hey Chester,

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forum regarding your Insignia Voice speaker. I would first recommend removing the device from your Google Home app, and then unplugging your speaker from the power source. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, and then when you plug it back in, press and hold the Microphone On/Off button right away for about 12-15 seconds, or until the LED screen reads "SET". Then, assuming all works out, you should be able to re-add the device to your Google Home app.

If you still can't get it to work after trying these steps, I would encourage you to contact Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 for additional troubleshooting.

I hope this is helpful. Thank you for writing to us.

Re: Insignia Voice™ Speaker (4 blinking lights)

Hi there,

I had tried the given steps but instead of seeing "Set" on the LED, I see "Load".

It blinks continuously.

I leave it for more than an hour and it is still the same.

Regards,

Chester

Re: Insignia Voice™ Speaker (4 blinking lights)

Welcome back, Chester!

When your Insignia Voice Speaker shows "LOAD", that typically means the firmware is being updated. This can take up to an hour the first time around. Seeing as it's taken longer than that, and you've already tried a factory reset, I'd recommend visiting your local Best Buy store to have our Geek Squad Agents take a look under your Insignia warranty.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions, anytime.
