Welcome to our community, mspace1.
To what device(s) are you attempting to connect your speaker? Are you attempting to connect both speakers to one device or more than one?
If you will please reply with the brand and model number of the device(s) you're hoping to connect, it would be very helpful.
I look forward to hearnig from you.

mspace1,
Based on my research, you may need to enable "dual audio" in your Bluetooth settings if both speakers are to be connected and used simultaneously. It's my understanding that your phone would need to run Bluetooth 5.0 for this feature.
I wasn't able to find any further information than this, so if needed, I would have to recommend contacting the phone manufacturer or your cellular provider for further assistance since it sounds like--from your initial message--the speakers themselves are functioning as intended.
I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us.
