Thanks for sharing that you’re experiencing the same issue. As I shared with Jizzay1 this is a known issue, and we’re partnering with Google to get it resolved in the next firmware update. We don’t have an official date of when that firmware update will be occurring, but your Insignia Voice Speaker should be searching for updates periodically and it should update by its self when it’s available.

Thanks for your message.
As previously stated, we do not have an ETA for the delivery of the update previously mentioned in this topic.
You mentioned that your device is not working as an alarm clock: have you encountered addtional issues, or are you referring to the blinking display?

I want to add another +1 for this request.
In particular, the issue with the flashing time for recurring alarm clocks which has been an acknowledged issue since at least early May, as evidenced by this post: http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Home-Audio-Video/Insignia-Google-voice-speaket/td-p/1221223
I specifically bought this item as a replacement for my alarm clock. So the fact that it has this bug in it is quite annoying. A flashing LED in a bedside clock is quite distracting when trying to sleep in a dark room. It also seems pretty critical to the product, since the major distinguishing feature from a standard google home is the fact that is has digital clock on it.
In this product's current state, I would say I would strongly recommend other users AGAINST buying it. Especially if this is the level of support that is to be expected from a "smart" home device. I would also be strongly discouraged from buying any further Insignia branded products in the future unless this issue gets resolved.

Thanks for joining us here on the forum. I, too, have had devices whose lights were a bit too bright for comfort at nighttime. I regret any inconvenience this has caused you.
As mentioned above, we do not have an ETA to share regarding the next firmware update. However, your device should automatically search for updates and install them once available.
