Insignia FireTV 55" NS-55DF710NA19

I turned my Insignia FireTV 55" NS-55DF710NA19 on this morning, and after the "Insignia | FireTV Edition" splash screen, it just starts cycling firetv dot dot dot" (on a black screen) over and over.

Does this mean it is updating firmware and I need to wait?
Or is it stuck in a loop?

Is there a way to hard reset to factory with the power button/remote when it's in this mode?

Oh, I've unplugged it for 15 minutes, and still.the same thing upon replugging and turning on.
