Re: Insignia Voice Portable Speaker won't connect to internet

Hello adjwilley,

Welcome to our community.

Given the extensiveness of your troubleshooting, for further assistance I would recommend calling Insignia directly for troubleshooting in real time. You can reach Insignia Support via 1-877-467-4289.

I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us.

Re: Insignia Voice Portable Speaker won't connect to internet

Adding to the list of things I tried:

Uninstalling and re-installing the Google Home app (tried twice on 2 different devices)

Taking the Insignia speaker down to the local Best Buy and exchanging it for a new one (in case it was a hardware problem).

Changing the wireless router security from WPA2 to WPA

Changing the router speed from "up to 300" to "up to 145" Mbps "neighbor friendly mode"

Neither of these steps solved the issue. I've been on the phone with Insignia tech support for over an hour (currently on hold). Fingers crossed.

Same problem. Broadcasts to google devices but not to another insignia device.

Re: NS-CSPGASP does not Broadcast anymore

I too am encountering the same issue with Broadcast. I can broadcast FROM the NS-CSPGASP, but not RECEIVE broadcasts on the 3 NS-CSPGASPs I have in my home. All 3 used to work. My Google Home Hub and Google Home both receive broadcasts perfectly. I have not tested the other issues reported.

Steps I've tried:

Removing the NS-CSPGASPs from my "Home" (unlink)

Removing and re-adding to my WiFi

Resetting my WiFi Router in the home

Reset the NS-CSPGASPs using the factory reset

Completely deleting and recreating my "Home"

I have not noted the firmware version, but I'm going to guess it's the same as others that have posted.

Does Insignia have an update on when a new firmware will be available? I'd really like to have this working as we use the Broadcast feature often in our home.

Re: NS-CSPGASP does not Broadcast anymore

I've been emailing Insignia regarding this matter and received the following email after providing firmware and MAC address details for my four Insignia devices:

"Thank you for the additional information, I just sent it to our engineers so they can include your devices in the next update (which will be released very soon). At this point, we just need to wait for the new update to be released so all Speakers can work properly again."

So hopefully a fix will arrive soon!
