My new blu-ray player is having issues. It will not stay connected to the internet. I am wondering why this is because we do not have any problems with our PS3 or our MacBook. Please advise with a solution for this.
I look forward to your reply,

Just recently my play has been experiencing the same problems. I can connect wirelessly to the internet no problem but when I test my connection the dialog box Network Test appears and says the following:
Obtaining IP Address... successfully established.
Conection to 0.0.0.0... successfully esrtablished.
Resolving DNS... could not be established.
Please check your connection and try again.
Any ideas. I checked my lan connections to both my router and the player. I reset the router by unplugging and plugging it back in. A few minutes after restart it seems to pick up the LAN connection as an icon appears in the upper right of the screen. Any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks

Yes the player will stay connected sometimes for as long as 5 hours or so however most of the time it can not find connection. It says that there is a DNS Error.
We do have it hooked up throuhg a hub however we also have a PS3 and it is hooked up through the same hub and have no problems with it's DNS Connection.
If you need anymore information please let me know.

I should also mention that I have instlled the older version of the firmware because I thought that the firmware might be the problem. I am still having the same issues.

I am now getting a DNS error whenever i try to connect to the internet via this player. I have a ethernet cable connecting the router to the player. After a few minutes (seems like a longer time then necessary) but thats another problem, it establishes the LAN connection but whenver I perform a network test it says connection failed. DNS error. I have noticed other people on this borad posting about the same problem. Do you know what could be causing this? It just started to happen recently. I have a wireless router and have no problem connecting to the internet with any other devices I have so I know its not my internet connection.
