Percolating noise from Insignia Chest Freezer

[ Edited ]

I really liked my 3.5 cu ft Chest Freezer. But it made a percolating noise during operation, which was too much noise for use in a camper van.

{removed per forum guidelines}  showing the noise.

I'm curious if anyone else gets this noise or if it was just the unit that I bought? 'Cause I'm willing to try again if this was an exception.

Jump to 1:30 in the video to hear the noise up close.

For some reason, a Moderator removed the link to my video. (I've read the Guidelines and ask him why. No response as of yet.)

If anyone wants to hear the sound that my chest freezer made, PM me here and I'll PM you the link.

Welcome to our community, gringomike.

For the issue with your freezer, I recommend contacting Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 for assistance with troubleshooting the appliance.

As regards the links you published, these are removed as a matter of practice to prevent potential confusion by other community members. Additionally, many hosting sites for images and videos are commerce enabled and posting of those is prohibited.

I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us.

Re: Percolating noise from Insignia Chest Freezer

Tnx for your reply. Unfortunately, it doesn't not help. You implied that I violated the Guidelines. If all the stuff you said about posting videos is correct, then they should be spelled out in the Guidelines.

1) I don't see what "confusion" could be caused by my video. I notice that you didn't even view it before deleting the link.

2) I didn't see anything in the Guidelines about posting to "commerce enabled" sites. But even if it's in there, the host I use is not "commerce enabled," as I understand the term.

As for your suggesting about contacting Insignia Support, I did. They said to return the freezer. Which, as I said in my OP, I did.
