We recently installed Insignia's 7 cu ft upright freezer. So far it appears to be working nicely, but there is 1 thing we are finding unexpected.

Is it normal for the exterior of the door and the top of the freezer itself to be cold all the time? The freezer gets and maintains cold, and the compressor turns off and isn't continuously running or anything. It just seems kind of strange that the freezer exterior itself would be cold in those areas.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your Insignia freezer! I'm glad to hear it seems to be working nicely, though I understand you may have some concerns surrounding the exterior's temperature. While it may feel cool to the touch, I wouldn't expect it to be excessively cold. Is there any condensation, freezing, or leaking on the exterior?
