Hi,
I am Emine {removed per forum guidelines}. Unfortunately, I have a compliment about Best Buy services.
I had a Insignia air fryer and Best Buy recalled it because it may cause a fire. I filled a form which is saying Best Buy will send a returning staff my home. They sent me them and I went to one of the UPS store to return the product. UPS store said me that because Best Buy did not send me return label, UPS Store cannot do anything and I need to mail Best Buy again. I went back home and I chatted with a Best Buy agent on the Best Buy website. She said me that in this type of situation, we recommend to return it to store. When I insist about they should send me return label, she said they can send it to me via mail. After 2 days, because I did not get ANY mail from Best Buy, I decided to go store. I went there and they said that they are definitely not accepting this product to their store. They said that we cannot accept this to our store because it may be hazardous. They wanted me to take it to my home!!!! If this is hazardous why do I need to take it to my home? I do not understand why this process is so long. During all the process, I carry the air fryer with me. I still do not know why I have to carry this product 3 times even though it is totally not my problem. Best Buy was one of my favorite stores untill this situation. And I am absolutely sorry to have this type of inconvenience.

I know that with this recall, you can register for a refund online at www.insigniaairfryerrecall.expertinquiry.com or call us at (800) 566-7498 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. After you register, Best Buy will send you a shipping box, pre-paid return shipping label, and return instructions. I see that you mentioned filling out to form on the link provided, and I'd like to know if the shipping label and return instructions were missing when we sent you the shipping box?

So, I have to say, for Best Buy to use "it can be hazardous" excuse for not taking the recalled device is silly. Yes, there is some small chance of fire or melting, but it's only when the device is in use. There is nothing in it that can ignite without electrical power. With that said, there is nothing to worry about for you, the customer. The device is not dangerous, just don't use it. I suspect the real reason why they don't accept them in stores is because there is a different company contracted to take care of the recall, and Best Buy doesn't need to take up their store reps' time for this.
My return package should arrive tomorrow. I can report back to let you know if it came with a return label.

My insignia air fryer was picked up in the replacement box sent to me. I want to purchase another air fryer but have not received a credit of any type. It has been close to a moth that the air fryer was returned. If I have to use a BB refund and not a cash refund to my credit card why is this being held up?
