Hi kjwagener,
Welcome to the Best Buy Forums! I certainly understand it's never ideal when a freezer isn't keeping a consistent temperature throughout the unit like this. One tip to maximize the efficiency of your freezer and occasionally solve issues like this, is to clean out the condenser coils on the unit. On your chest freezer, these are most likely located underneath the unit, and may require removing a panel to access them. You can use a vacuum to to remove any dirt and dust that has accumulated. If you're still having trouble, you can contact Insignia support. You can find their contact info by visiting https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us. I hope this helps!
Best Regards,
