Convertible Insignia freezer NS-UZ17SSO Code E6

I have a brand new NS-UZ17SS0. When I plugged it in an error code E6 displayed on the front door. I double checked the door connections... seem to be good. The unit can switch from Fridge to Freezer, Lock button seems to work but it will not display a temp. When I try to reset to factory settings it does nothing. Any ideas?
