*Black Friday Price Guarantee: If you are a My Best Buy member and you purchase a qualifying item (those identified 10/13/20–10/14/20 with a “Black Friday Price Guaranteed” message on them on BestBuy.com and the price of the qualifying item goes lower than your purchase price prior to November 28, 2020, we will refund you for the difference between your purchase price and the lower price. Price applies to new items and excludes coupon, bundle, free-with-purchase offers and pricing errors. Best Buy plans reimbursement of the price difference in the following ways: Credit card purchases will be reimbursed on the credit card used at time of purchase; purchases with a Best Buy Gift Card will be reimbursed on the purchasing gift card; purchases with My Best Buy certificates will be reimbursed as My Best Buy points; and cash purchases will be reimbursed via a check mailed to the address on record for the My Best Buy account. Best Buy reserves the right to send a gift card or e-gift card as a method of reimbursement for the difference. Reimbursements will take place by December 14, 2020.
When making a purchase, or during the return and exchange period, please talk to a Customer Specialist or go to the Customer Service desk for help with your price match request. A price match request after a purchase at a store for items shipped to the customer can only be requested by the purchaser (the person who was listed in the "Bill To" section of the order).

I'm so frustrated. I have talked to support via chat and also had super unproductive 2 hour phone call where he was having tons of "system" issues. I have gotten conflicting information from each person.
I bought a TV (Sony XBR65X900H) yesterday 11/11/2020 for $1,370 and picked it up in store. It's out of the box now.
I then found out today that the exact same TV is a black friday deal for $999.99: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/black-friday/tv-ad/pcmcat1568907750352.c?id=pcmcat1568907750352
That's $400 off!
So, obviously I want that deal. So I chat in to BestBuy support and she simply says to just chat back in when it goes on sale within 14 days and they will adjust the price. I say ok, but I kinda need to know if it's going to go on sale on the 22nd or closer to black friday - because that will determine if I'm within 14 days. She says she isn't allowed to tell me...and then recommends I return it and buy it when it goes on sale!
So later on various other forums/subreddits I find people saying this is going on sale on the 22nd (within my 14 day period). So I call back in instead of chatting just to confirm. That guy tells me it doesn't matter if it goes on sale within the 14 day period, if it was a black friday "sale/special/deal" or w/e and it would never be price matched. Completly opposite of what the chat said?!? He also said I should return it and just buy it again when it's on sale!
Is returning the TV and buying it 10 days from now really the best option? Or better yet, keeping it for 10 days and basically doing an in-store swap when it goes on sale? That makes ZERO sense to me. It's inconvenient for me, even though I still end up with $400 off, and BestBuy ends up with an open box item. How is that better than just doing the adjustment? Can this be price adjusted or not? Should I return it?

Purchased two ovens on 11/18/2020, to be delivered 11/23/2020. Today, they are each on sale for Black Friday at $370 lower than what I paid, or $740 total.
Customer service is unable to process a price match during Black Friday sales. This apparently cannot be overridden, so I will return the ovens immediately upon arrival tomorrow, and purchase two new ovens at the lower price.
I would obviously rather receive the discounted price via credit to my card, or am even willing to accept store credit. I understand the reasoning behind the Black Friday price match blackout, but in my situation the limitation on the system will cost Best Buy money and time in returning and reshipping the product.
There is no customer service email address, the chat is not currently working, and I have already been on the phone for over an hour. I just wanted to put this is writing so hopefully someone will realize they can save the company some money and a customer some additional hassle.

I have a complaint about your price matching for Thanksgiving week. I bought a monitor on BestBuy.com yesterday (Saturday) for $450 (not including my rewards certificates). Today, I noticed that the item is now $50 cheaper. I chatted and they said that I could not price match, even though the item has not shipped, yet. I can't even cancel the item, and reorder it. I have to order another one, and return the new one when I get it. Really??? How is this any different than just adjusting the original order price. I understand not price matching sales prices of competitors, but to not price match your own prices, when I can return the current one, and reorder it does not make sense. I normally get good cusotmer service from Best Buy, but this is ridiculous.

I just purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher at the BestBuy in Nashua, NH. Before I went to pick it up the dishwasher went on sale for a $40 reduction in price. When I picked up the dishwasher I was told it wasn't a problem and that I would get the new price for the dishwasher. Unfortuately I didn't get any paperwork from cashier as she said it would all be handled and I would get an email. Fast forward 2 hrs and I missed a call from my local store. This is where the atrocious customer service of Best Buy really kicks in. I tried to call the store on a Sunday and waited 30 minutes. I figured they were really busy so I decided to wait till Monday morning. Monday comes and I wait on hold for over an hour before someone in corporate answers. They pull up my order and then inform me that they won't price match their own store price!!! I'm totally blown away. I inform her that I can simply take it back and rebuy it for the cheaper price and she agrees and encourages me to do just that. I'm totally shocked at how bad BestBuy has become in the face of stiff competition. I will likely never buy anything from BestBuy again all because they are making me jump through hoops simply to match the price of the dishwasher that THEY HAD ON SALE when I picked it up at the store!!! How is this company even in business still. BTW, the corporate rep told me not to bother calling the local store since they won't pick up during the holiday season! Good luck getting any customer service from BestBuy. I guess the quicker Amazon buts them out of business the better from a consumer perspective.
Very Bad Experience!!

They have a Black Friday going on this week, and in the price match terms, they clearly state there will not be any price matching from Sunday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving (so from yesterday to Ciber Monday). I agree this is weird and dumb, but they must have done their math and figured it's better for them to take some returns, than price match thousands of purchases made in the last couple of weeks. Plus they know many popular items will go out of stock quickly and people will have no choice but to keep things purchased at regular price. I personally just dealt with this myself. Purchased an item for $230 on Saturday, saw it discounted by $30 just one day later, on Sunday. No price match, so I returned it and repurchased. Not very convinient as I had to go back to the store, but I feel like it was worth it.

Hi Andrew, I noticed that the controllers are now on sale.
According to your price match guarantee:
"If we lower our in-store, online or app price during the return and exchange period, we will match our lower price, upon request."
I believe I am well within the exchange period. Can you make this happen?

In fact I also experienced the same from Best Buy Store in Sterilng, VA, yesterday (November 23, 2020). I picked up the item and when I asked for price match with Amazon.com's price, I was told that Best Buy is not doing Price Match now because competitors are already selling at a reduced Black Friday special price, which is not the case. As an Elite Plus member, I thought I can get the item from Best Buy but I was disappointed on hearing this and walked out to place the order with Amazon.
