Hello! I received a Sonos speaker for Christmas and opened it before realizing it wasn't the correct item. Can I exchange it for the correct item without the receipt? The box has a Best Buy sticker on the side with a bar code and the store number where it was purchased.

Under our Return & Exchange Promise, we would need a receipt or order number in order to accept a return on a product. If that sticker has an order number on it, which would likely start with "BBY01" or "BBYTX," that would work for the return or exchange, as long as the item is within the return period specified in that Promise.
Without an order number or receipt, we would not be able to accept a return on that speaker. My best advice, if you’re looking to get that receipt without being ruse, would be to ask the person that gave it to you for a copy for warranty purposes, as a proof of purchase would be needed for any warranty service.
