Nintendo Switch unsealed box

Don't know if this the right place to put my concern. But here it goes...
Hi my husband and I ordered online (order # xxxx-xxxxxxxx2292, A Nintendo Switch with serial number: XAWxxxxxxx4637 and a Zelda game) on dic. 20/2018 and received by FedEx dic.22/2018.The Box came without any Nintendo or another kind of seal, is that normal? Our nephew a time ago receives the Fortnite version and came sealed (not Nintendo seal), also I'm pretty sure my past sons DS, DSi, and 3DS came with factory Nintendo seals. Not feeling comfortable thinking it's could be a refurbished system for an Xmas present. Nothing seems to be missing. If this is normal? this also can affect warranty? Planning on return Item (should I?), waiting for some feedback on this matter. What's the time frame to do so? Got pics upon request. Thanks in advance.

Re: Nintendo Switch unsealed box

Hello and welcome, MJav,

There are times when I’m fine with purchasing an open box or refurbished product, but most times, I’m willing to pay the extra premium for a new-in-box item.  I can understand your hesitancy if your past items from Nintendo were sealed with a branded sticker, but your recent purchase wasn’t.  My understanding is that Nintendo Switch boxes, however, do not come with these seals on the box.

With that said, you’re well within your rights to swap out this product at your local Best Buy store if you’d feel more comfortable picking one up in person.  Just swing by before January 12, 2019, to process an exchange under our extended Holiday Return & Exchange Promise if you decide to go that route.

I hope this helps.  Happy holidays!

Re: Nintendo Switch unsealed box

All the Nintendo Switch, 2DS, 3DS don't come with a seal.  I bought 2 Nintendo Switch from Amazon, a Diablo Switch from GameStop, and a Pokemon Let's Go Switch from Bestbuy and they all don't have a factory seal.  I know some eBay sellers have a seal on it but they are not real factory seal.

Re: Nintendo Switch unsealed box

Thanks Sam-BBY, for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience on this. We decide to keep the Switch and to discard the idea that it may be a refurbished unit. Also, visit the store and confirm no box there are sealed. So once again thanks, and also thanks to Alexoi. God Bless you guys and Happy New Year.
