Cancelled Order Refund

I have an issue with an iPhone case which I ordered on Black Friday. After ordering I was announced that one of them was out of stock until January... I cancelled the order but I have not received any refund since then (more than one week). How can I get my money back?

I’m extremely clumsy with my phone, and knowing my luck, I’d somehow break it if I didn’t have some sort of protection for it. I’ve yet to have any problems (knock on wood), but I also have a nice case and screen protector on it. While disappointing to hear the case you wanted wasn’t a possibility as expected, I certainly don’t want you to then be stuck paying for it. I appreciate you reaching out to us for assistance.

 

When an online order is cancelled for whatever reason, our system should automatically refund the customer’s method of payment to ensure they are not paying for something they never receive. The funds may not immediately appear available for use though, as some issuing banks take longer than others to process the refund on their end. In my experience, customers can typically expect to see their refund appear on their account within three to five business days, but in some instances (like PayPal), it can take up to a full business cycle. If you haven’t already, I’d suggest contacting your issuing bank for further information on their refund policies; however, please know I’ve also sent you a private message to confirm your purchase was fully cancelled. You may view it by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

BestBuy still did not send back the money they charged for an inexistent product/delivery. And they are refusing to cooperate or look into the issue. They sent me a message to give a call to their customer support line.

 

FRAUD! I will also contact Apple to let them know one of their resellers is commiting fraud using their products!

I AM the original purchaser - check the debit card information which was used for the purchase. You mean the delivery recipient is different. How can that possibly be an issue? You want the person it was DELIVERED to give you a call? How does that make any sense whatsoever? 

 

And putting this aside for a moment. There was an order - you did not have the item available for delivery - you kept pushing back the date until you said, maybe next month. I cancelled the order and kept checking the card for the money to be sent back. Never was! Just sent back the money back - why do you need someone to give you a call. Return the money for the product you did not deliver and the order was cancelled. This is so simple that its mind-boggling we have to spend so much time with this back and forth exchanges.

And even more dubious that on the order page the case in question now appears as a 0$ order. Well my credit card begs to differ! I will chase this until everyone knows the kind of fraud BestBuy tries to pull. If people don't pay attention you try and scam them?

According to our system, there is only one individual associated with the purchase. This means the "Ship To" and "Bill To" sections reflect the same name, and your name does not appear anywhere on this order. As a result, we would need to speak with the original purchaser if there are any questions pertaining to the correctly charged account. We would be happy to assist them from there.

Ok, now it's been cleared out by my bank. The authorisation amount was different which is what I was remembering as being charged originally, but the actual charge was only for the case which was delivered. So the case which was cancelled was only authorised (which is what I remembered seeing as being charged) and not actually charged.

 

Apologies for being so vehement - but I was sure I was charged originally for the case...
