What you've described may be due to the remote control needing a reset. Try this: remove the batteries from your remote and press all of its buttons. Install fresh batteries. This should serve to reset the remote control. In partnership with this, power-cycle your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for several minutes. This should reset the TV's hardware.
If the problem persists, there are a couple of options available to you as SPOPATT suggests. You may return the TV to us for an exchange or refund, or you may pursue service options under the factory warranty. If you elect to pursue repairs, please call Geek Squad at 800-433-5778 to schedule a technician to visit your home.
