55”Sharp 4K LED Smart Roku TV

TV says powering off when you hit any button on the remote control. The TV was purchased on Black Friday. So it isn’t even 40 days old.

Re: 55”Sharp 4K LED Smart Roku TV

Purchases between October 28 and December 28 have an extended return period you ought to be able to utilize. Standard Best Buy members have until January 12, 2019. Elite members have until January 27 while Elite Plus members have until February 11.

If this was a black friday deal and Best Buy is out of stock, you do have the option to allow Geek Squad to repair it under the manufacturer warranty at no cost assuming there is no physical damage present on the television.

Re: 55”Sharp 4K LED Smart Roku TV

Hello TMcKinney32,

Welcome to our community. Having a brand new product develop a fault soon after purchase can be quite disappointing indeed. I've had it happen too! I regret you're having to cope with this inconvenient situation.

What you've described may be due to the remote control needing a reset. Try this: remove the batteries from your remote and press all of its buttons. Install fresh batteries. This should serve to reset the remote control. In partnership with this, power-cycle your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for several minutes. This should reset the TV's hardware.

If the problem persists, there are a couple of options available to you as SPOPATT suggests. You may return the TV to us for an exchange or refund, or you may pursue service options under the factory warranty. If you elect to pursue repairs, please call Geek Squad at 800-433-5778 to schedule a technician to visit your home.

I hope this helps. If you have questions or further concerns, please be sure to let me know. Thank you for writing to us.
