This board seems like a ghost town. Let’s see if we can spark something!
I am in no way a trained professional and I will not claim to be. That is the farthest from the truth, but I have been involved with health and fitness, in some fashion, ever since my old football days. I also competed on my schools Olympic weightlifting team. In my opinion, exercise is one of the best stress relievers.
My wife and I ran our first full marathon this past June. We had participated in a couple half marathons in the past, but the thought of running 26.2 miles seemed a bit far-fetched. Our goal was basically just to finish the entire marathon. We trained for about four months and were actually able to finish the whole marathon. The physical act of meeting that goal felt amazing, a bit painful, but amazing.
Is there a health/fitness related goal you are working toward or was there a goal that you met?? It could be just about anything and everything.

That is a great goal! I set a similar goal a few years ago when I noticed a bit of a weight gain. I have complete faith that you should have no problem reaching your goal with exercise and a proper diet. Please keep us updated on your progress and remember, no pain,no gain.

Hey health is every thing. Neither too fat persons are good nor too slim person health are good. Every one is talking about how to become slim and how to reduce weight. I am slim so I want to ask what are the ways to gain weight.

Congrats on the new baby!!! My wife and I have been talking about possibly starting a family in a year or so, and the potential baby weight is something she has
In my opinion, weight loss pills are more of an energy boost than anything. I have personally tried several different brands over the years, and I cannot say with certainty whether any of them actually contributed to my weight loss. I believe that dieting and regular exercise have provided me with the best overall results. If you do want to incorporate some sort of dietary supplement into your training, then a multivitamin might be a good idea.
Good luck and keep us updated!

Good morning Lovelymobiles!
I was generally on the smaller side while growing up, so I would always look for ways to gain weight or increase my overall size. The one area that I found provided the best results for me was the weight room. A workout consisting of 3 to 4 sets per exercise and between 8 to 12 reps per set seemed to do the trick when I started going 4 to 5 times a week.
Another potential way to help gain weight would be to increase your daily calorie intake. You could start by slowing increasing the portion size you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am in no way an expert, so I would suggest consulting a personal trainer or nutritionist if you have any specific questions.
Good luck and stay focused!!

I am under weight want to gain weight very fast have tried many things but of no use.Gaining weight is my goal
There seems to be almost no support out there for people that cannot gain weight. Granted the amount of obese people are probably a larger denomination. I have a good friend that cannot gain weight and has people worrying if she is anorexic or purges etc...
She eats very healthy so her blood work comes out great all the time. She tried eating high calorie food etc... I just made her sick.
Things I think you can do are stay away from resistant starches and the various foods/drinks that help you not retain calories. (green tea etc...)
Spend a week being honest with yourself and make a daily journal of what you eat. Keep track of calories, fat , carbs, and portion size.
If you find your your normal diet keeps you under 2000 calories a day you should work on increasing your healthy portion sizes.
You might even try having a weight gain shake once during the day. They are normally used by weight lifters and are packed with calories, vitamins etc... I had a buddy in the Navy that would drink one a day, he said it was for just such reason.

You seems like quite a passionate person who is related to fitness since old school days. Thats really great, I like your passion and determination. When I started because of my extra skin in some parts o my body. Initally it was very difficult for me to stay determined but then I learnt that its better to face difficulty now which will make my coming days more easire for me. Rather if I quit I will facing bad concequences in coming days.
