I purchased an Apple Watch in July and got the '6 month free subscription' to Apple Fitness + . When I tried to redeem the code (After my 3 month trial from Apple expired) it is telling me the code is expired. In the email from Best Buy it says the code is good through January 14 2022. How do I get this resolved?

Apple Fitness+ Offer page: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp-health-fitness-beauty/apple-fitness-offer/pcmcat1600206227612.c?id=...
Quote directed from the terms and conditions: "*6 months free for new subscribers only."
The fix would be to make a new Apple ID as your previous 3 month trial would negate the ability to use the 6 month trial attached to the Apple Watch purchase. The entire intent by Apple in this promotion is to get customers to try the service and hopefully like it well enough to keep. It is not intended to provide a continuous "free" service by allowing these to be stacked one on top of another.

I signed up for the first time when I purchased the Apple Watch. I followed the directions provided by Best Buy - I'm not understanding what the issue is?
From July:
Thanks to your recent Apple Watch purchase, you’re eligible for a 6-month free trial of Apple Fitness+, a $59 value. Apple Fitness+ is a new fitness experience powered by Apple Watch.
To redeem, follow these instructions: VERY IMPORTANT!:
1. Update to the latest version of iOS and watchOS.
2. Pair your new Apple Watch with your iPhone.
3. Redeem Apple’s 3-month offer at fitness.apple.com
4. After redeeming your 3-month Apple offer, copy the code below
to redeem your 3 additional months of Apple Fitness+ at: fitness.apple.com/redeem
Must have an Apple Watch Series 3 or later to be able to use the Apple Fitness+ service.
The Best Buy 3-month offer will begin after Apple's 3-month trial included with your Apple Watch purchase for a total of 6 months free. It may take up to 24 hours for Apple's 3-month offer to appear in your iPhone Settings.

Good afternoon, JayT8099,
Thank you for taking the time to stop by our community forums. Getting a free promotion like this with your purchase is always great, I'm sure you're looking forward to giving Apple Fitness+ a try, it's certainly strange to hear that you were notified that this code was expired when you tried to redeem it. I'd be to review this further and see how I may be able to help.
I do have a few questions so I can look further into this. By chance, did you contact Apple to see if they could provide some additional details on why this code was listed as expired? If they were unable to shed some light on this, please let me know. I'd be glad to review your purchase information and see what options I may have here on my end.
