Hi there, purcellben,
Thank you for stopping by our community forums. It sounds very strange to hear that your frame has dropped so much after getting these drivers reinstalled. I'd be happy to give you some options on how to get assistance moving forward.
Because you've already been able to get these drivers installed, it's possible that this problem is related to something else. I would recommend schedule an appointment with the Geek Squad to start troubleshooting this. You may also want to consider contacting the manufacturer of your graphics card to make sure there aren't any problems with these drivers.
I hope I was able to provide some information on what options are available. Please let me know if I can help with any other questions!

One thing to remember that major graphics cards manufacturers often set restore points on your PC, That way if something goes awry you can go back to where it way.
Here is a link to the official Microsoft site which may help you out. Please note that System Restore won't always work and you should only use these tools with the help of a professional such as Geek Squad if you don't feel comfortable with doing so yourself.
