I have a pre-order on a game where I pre-ordered using my GCU discount a few years ago. All I did was go to the order and update my credit card information. It was the same account, just a new date/cvv needed to be updated. When I updated it, my 20% GCU discount was removed. I didn't do anything else. Is this just a temporary glitch or is my final GCU discount gone forever?

Welcome to our online community! I'm glad to hear you were able to enjoy Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) benefits, and I can understand wanting clarification on your recent pre-order. My son is an avid gamer and he took full advantage of GCU. Best Buy's GCU membership program ended on February 28, 2021. We were all disappointed at that time. The good news, we still have great discounts and promotional offers when games are pre-ordered. Offerings are always listed on our website, www.BestBuy.com on the product page, so stay tuned.

I actually got billed both the GCU price and the full price for the game. I didn't approve the price increase and I definitely didn't approve being charged twice. I expect the $48 plus tax price to be honored.

After having no luck here or in Support Chat, I called Customer Service. The rep was actually really great. She looked up how much my preorder was authorized for back in 2019, and confirmed that I should have been charged $48 plus tax. She then refunded the extra charge. If you call Support, maybe ask them to check that. Hope that helps!
