Any clue why Best Buy today canceled the additional pre-order bonus to Star Wars: Squadrons (being released this Friday)? Best Buy online chat said "that pre-order bonus was stopped by the manufacturer so that is the reason the order was canclled by the system."

Thoughts? 

Not sure if it's just a Best Buy thing and better to pre-order from another seller.

Pretty much every other retailer offers the same. I just pre order from psn itself

Good afternoon, everyone!

Only a couple more days until some good old-fashioned Star Wars ship to ship combat!  We appreciate that you chose Best Buy for your Star Wars: Squadrons pre-order, and I’d be happy to help out with this question.

As it turns out, we recently discovered that for all digital versions of Squadrons, the pre-order bonus is going to be included in the digital game code.  While we were going through and cancelling the bonus from digital orders (as it is no longer needed), physical Xbox One orders had their pre-order bonuses accidently cancelled as well.  This did not impact PS4 physical edition pre-orders.

However, we should still be sending out the pre-order codes manually via email for all Xbox One physical edition orders on release day.  If for some reason you don’t receive your code 24-48 hours after release, please make sure you are following the directions in our “Game Codes – Read Me First” floated post here for more assistance.

It's stuff like this that certainly makes me miss the days when the pre-order code was a card inside the case.  Hopefully I get mine without any problems, but I fear, based on the last few games, I might be in for another code not received.  At least I should get the game on Friday, as it's already shipped (my last game that was a Friday release didn't get picked up by UPS until Friday morning, and since they don't operate on weekends, I didn't get it until Monday).
